I say this is the first real fight. You had the fight against the cat pirates but that in my opinion was just more of a demonstration of their power. This fight is more off an overcoming a greater threat fight.

This ep was kinda like power up for Luffy bcoz Don Krieg is stronger than the characters Luffy fought with until now

Luffy's determination was really somewhat of an eye-opening moment for sanji. The way he saw All Blue for a second, I think it means that he should give up his ambition of staying with Zeff, (Zeff also wants that anyway) and follow his true goal of searching for All Blue by going with Luffy

Sanji wondering "why Luffy won't flinch and why Luffy would go this far" is demonstrating the people who don't know that or never experienced the fact that there would be some people who would go beyond anything to achieve their target.
Sanji is right from his place, he feel like this because except Zeff no one else had go beyond limit to take care of Sanji, that's why Luffy's determination surprised him. He never knew or realized that before.

Remember everyone, sometimes you really need exceed every expectation to gain something. Some people will find it hard and some will do it anyway.
